Bo Acors
Coach Acors playeed high school baseball at Atlee High School in Mechanicsville, VA where he pitched, played 1st and 3rd bases, and was a designated hitter over the four years. He received all district honors as a freshman, sophomore, and senior; all region and all metro honors as a senior and played in the VHSL all star game after his senior year. Acors attended Virginia Commonwealth Universtiy where he pitched for four years. After his senior year, he was signed as a free agent by the Seattle Mariners, where he started in rookie ball in Peoria, AZ for one month. Acors was then moved to AA in San Antonio, TX for a week before settling in Appleton, WI for the rest of the summer. He was a relief pitcher and closer for the rest of the season while giving up 0 extra base hits for the Timberrattlers. After being released the following spring, Acors had a short stint in the independent league with the Berkshire Black Bears in Massachusetts.
After hanging up the cleats, Coach Acors found a very satisfying way to stay in the game with coaching. He was on the Hanover High School coaching staff when it opened and stayed for four years. Acors also coached the Hanover Sports travel team while they were 10u, 11u, and 12u before moving on to the 14u Hanover Nationals last year. He joined the RBA West staff in 2010 and will coach the 13U Red team.
