Softball Coach Bios

Jacqueline Wetherbee

Jacqueline Wetherbee is starting her first year with the RBA West Academy. She played first base for the University of South Carolina from 2005 to 2009. She was named Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week, MVP of the UNC Tarheel Invitational, and All-Tournament Team of the Florida State Tournament. She helped lead the Gamecocks to winning the Regional Championship and continuing on to the Super Regionals in 2007. Jacqueline looks forward to working with all age groups on improving their hitting and fielding skills.

Coach Carter is a graduate of Monacan High School where she is the newest member of their coaching staff. She was the first freshman to make the Varsity Team and start all four years. Under Coach Keith Daniels, she received honors in All District, All Region, All State, and was voted Defensive Player of the Year. She attended the College of William and Mary where she received a degree in Marketing and Anthropology. She was President and Co-Founder of the Women’s Club Fast-pitch Softball Team. She has been involved in Huguenot Little League and the Florida Keys Little League for a combination of 20 years. She is one of the newest members of the RBA Coaching Staff and is looking forward to the opportunity of helping every child excel.

Keith Daniels

Keith has been a teacher and coach at Monacan High School for the past 30 years. In recognition for 20 years of outstanding coaching in girls’ softball, the softball field was named in honor of Coach Daniels. Among his many accomplishments are:

- Head Varsity Softball Coach 1985-2004

- 7^th winningest softball coach in VSHL history

- Highest winning percentage of any sport at Monacan(75%)

- Most championships at Monacan – 19

- 11 Central and Dominion District Championships

- 6 Central and Dominion District Tournament Championships

- 2 Central Regional Tournament Championships

- 5-time State Qualifier

- 7-time Central and Dominion District Coach of the Year

- 4-time Central Regional Coach of the Year All-Star Game

- 300 wins recognized by Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors

- 320 overall career softball wins

- Zero losing seasons

- Well-known throughout the state as a softball clinician
